The diving world celebrates the initiative in Torredembarra

The Biotope is consolidating its position as a benchmark for diving in Spain.

Aqua, the free on-line magazine specialised in the world of diving, has visited the facilities of Port Torredembarra and the Biotop.

The magazine, published in Spanish and with the collaboration of the leading photographers of the current international scene, has the support of prestigious brands in the world of diving, both in tourism and in the world of teaching and equipment manufacturing.

The Biotope, conceived and developed by Port Torredembarra, is made up of 40,000 tonnes of calcium carbonate rocks. It is the first Biotope of this size in the world and the impact it has on the marine ecosystem is already remarkable.

It can be visited by scuba diving or snorkelling sessions and you can see species such as the Mediterranean nudibranchs, octopus or even the moon fish.
